19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for 882 days with a win over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has had a challenging period, winning just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the American major.
His inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with former mentor his previous coach.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
It is the player's initial championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt since March of 2023.
Victory also means Medvedev has secured 21 titles at twenty-one various events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my two daughters together, so to get a championship is particularly special," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my child my daughter, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had lost his previous six title deciders, featuring in that event in the past months.
The player's counter-punching strategy and regular reactions on court had led commentators to doubt if his skill to play at the highest level was over.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and play positively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
He recovered from a break down in the first set against the tricky Moutet, taking 4 of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
The pair exchanged break points in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his initial tour victory, gained dominance to push for a final set.
The opponent defended four early-game break points in a tight final set before the champion broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured the title with a rally at the net area, with Moutet unable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
